Read about the challenge and how to participate here

Please read through it carefully, and be especially aware of the Kick-off and the Hackathon. They are not mandatory but can greatly help you develop your concept and gain a bigger probability of selection and success.

February 16th 1000-1400: Kick off event at FabLab RUC, building 9: Bring your idea, develop, get feedback on feasibility and formulate your application. There are experienced participants and representatives from the Roskilde Festival present who can give sparring, feedback and practical advice. Slides can be found here.

April 12th 1000-2000: Hackathon at FabLab RUC, The hackathon is a full work day. At the end of the day, you should have a functioning prototype (physical projects) or well-fleshed-out idea (research, interventions etc.) so you are ready to apply. Slides can be found here.

For all other dates and details see here

All angles of approach are encouraged - for example:

  • Interaction design - an audience-interactive installation
  • Technical / natural sciences - investigating or solving a concrete problem.
  • Investigating social currents - looking into waste or volunteerism, for example.
  • Social entrepreneurship, investigating or testing an intervention.

This collaboration is currently anchored at Fablab RUC, but the intention is it should be mainly student-driven.
