WE ARE HIRING

Multi technology expert Fablab RUC, Roskilde University

Are you a creative and multi-talented technology expert? Are you passionate about Fablabs, design, 3D printing, rapid prototyping, programming and imparting technical knowledge to university students and companies?

FabLab RUC is a leading experimental research and learning environment with over 4000 visitors per year. We are the prototype workshop for all Roskilde University’s students and researchers, especially from Humtek - people and technology - and other technical subjects. We are also open to everyone - companies large and small, start-ups and local citizens, to promote entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship and synergy with business and society. We help students, researchers and others build working prototypes of technological systems - partly by offering access to modern digital manufacturing technology such as 3D printers, computer-controlled machines, robots, AI, programming, electronics manufacturing and biolabs, partly by offering access to qualified technological design-oriented consultants who can advise, guide and qualify the concrete processes from idea to functional prototype.

A position has opened up because one of our fantastic colleagues has accepted a position as the leader of a new Fablab in Marstal.

As far as courses, project support and guidance are concerned, you will organize workshops and guidance on how to use Fablab's machines, software and tools. This will take place both in the form of organized workshops and seminars, but also in the form of ad hoc guidance for students and staff.

We expect you to have technical skills, and it is an advantage if you can program. Other than that, we are very open to what you can contribute.

You must be passionate about teaching and be able to convey technical knowledge in an approachable and understandable way. Our aims are cross disciplinary within technical, humanities and artistic/creative/design fields.
