IOT: Navigate at Roskilde Festival 2015

We helped make the entrance markers for Roskilde Festival 2015 interactive - the audience can change the colour of the LED lights in them by visiting rf.illutron.dk with their smartphone. Markers by VÆRKSTEDET / Christopher Nielsen / Christian Overgaard / Roskilde Festival volunteers.

The project is a part of a larger strategy at the Fablab. Internet of things (IOT) has become a new technology platform to experiment and explore. Via IOT we are able make interactions that spans accross the physical and virtual reals.

For this project we used the IMP platform to generate the DMX signal controlling the ligths of the installation. You can find details about the technical solution here and here. The technical groundwork has been done by illutron / Christian Lilljedahl.
