Ecosystem Design Principles

(This is on pause as Biofablab is still in the process of starting up - see this course which is currently happening.)

Ecosystem Design Principles is a series of workshops, lectures and classes that through a combination of hands-on experiments teach non-biology natural science students, architects, artist or designers the basic principles around designing with or for biology.

The aim is to go from a design paradigm that designs dead-matter objects for a human centric experience to a paradigm and language developed around designing and working with living matter for a multispecies or ecosystem experience.
