5 Axis CNC
We have aquired a small 5 axis CNC mill - the Pocket NC v2 ( http://www.pocketnc.com )
The working area is 115x127x90mm (but subtract some in practice for tool length and for the A and B axis to rotate.
It can mill wood, plastics (POM, Nylon etc.), wax, aluminum. It can also mill mild steel slowly, but we are not going to support that unless you have a very special need.
The Pocket NC is exciting as 5 axis machining usually costs hundreds of thousands of kr - it costs 30000.
Parts should be drawn and CAMmed in Fusion 360.
We are still learning to use it effectively - do not expect to be able to get going immediately.
