RF2024: TÆNKE- BOKS

Dare to cover your senses? In an often chaotic, noisy, and sensory-stimulating festival (and daily life), this box offers a surprising refuge where you can, if you dare to let go in a public space, isolate yourself from anything that might overstimulate your mind. Give yourself a sensory break, a chance to breathe out, drop the mask, and feel what you feel. Here, you can find peace with yourself or bring a friend inside (there's room for that too).

Stress is becoming a condition for more and more people, and it can be difficult to find room to breathe. The box serves as a reminder to stop and feel yourself and your thoughts by allowing you to be alone with them. Just as it's important to use your senses to feel and navigate in the world, it's also important to disconnect from the external world to connect with your inner self.

The box is created with social sustainability in mind. Safety and trust are elementary parts of mental sustainability at the festival, as it is necessary in a space where people need to recharge from the festivities. Therefore, the effect of the box cannot be isolated from the festival attendees' sense of safety. Additionally, the box is created with a focus on environmental sustainability. It is built with wood, recycled mats and a recycled air mattress.

We hope to alleviate overstimulation and to highlight the anxiety or mistrust that keep people from recharging.
