RF2024: INTERAKTIV SPIRAL LAMPE
Imagine a lamp that responds to your presence and movements. A lamp that transforms the surroundings into a living artwork where light and community blend together. This is the interactive light spiral. By using one or more people, an already inactive rainbow light, symbolizing PRIDE due to its relevance at Roskilde Festival, can be changed to a self-made color combination using RGB.
The interactive spiral lamp’s light artwork is created using distance sensors and LED lighting. When one or more people approach the installation, a series of distance sensors are activated, registering the distance to each person. This data is then used to control the light intensity and color palette of the light.
Our theme focuses on atmosphere, as light can always create the atmosphere around it—when there is no music. The atmosphere affects everyone around, so creating the optimal light situation can positively influence the community around it. The community also plays a huge role in our theme, as it is not only fun when changing things alone but also when doing it with others or random people. It can break barriers or silence that might have existed between those people.
